I am currently a PhD Student in Economics at Harvard University. I am interested in topics related to Development, Political Economy, and Deep Learning. Previously, I worked with Prof. Melissa Dell as a pre-doctoral fellow at Harvard on projects that involve the use of cutting-edge Natural Language Processing and vision techniques to analyse novel datasets.

Before that, I worked as a Consultant at the World Bank working with Dr. Vijayendra Rao, Dr. Siddharth George and Dr. M. R. Sharan on projects related to decentralization and local self-government in India.

I have also worked as a Research Assistant with Dr. Farzana Afridi and Dr. Kanika Mahajan on projects related to female labor force participation, marriage markets, and access to cooking fuels in India. I have also worked with economists and political scientists from Harvard University, New York University, North Western University, Delhi School of Economics, King’s College London, and Michigan State University on different projects.

I have a Master’s degree in Economics from Delhi School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies from Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, Delhi University.

I am skilled in the use of Python, R and Stata for data analysis. My capabilities include building deep learning pipelines, Web-scraping, working with virtual machines on AWS/GCP/Azure, Statistical Analysis, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing and Data Visualisation and Cleaning. My work routinely involves the use of recent developments in Artificial Intelligence.
